Maple Round
One of the most difficult tables that I have ever worked on was this massive maple round. Due to the incredible size it took a long time to flatten the top.
Oak Coffee Tables
These Oak Coffee Tables were some of my first projects I made and sold, though they are simple, the beauty of the wood is still remarkable. Some friends bought one and used it as a bench for their foyer.
Spalted Maple Coffee Table
A spalted slab is one that had lyed on the ground for a while before being cut. This is notable because the wood is rotten and you can see the path that is dug out by fungi. These tables are coated in a stronger finish because the wood is weaker than other slabs.
I think these tables are beautiful and the lines drawn out by the fungi remind me of the Boundary Waters on maps in Northern Minnesota.
Live Edge Oak Breakfast Bar
This was another custom job, a client wanted a breakfast bar that was tall enough to rest near their cabin window. Specifically, they wanted this for their grandkids to eat breakfast while at the cabin. The oak slab turned out beautifully and it is one of my favorite live edge tables I have made.
All the products I sell are finished with food and child safe oil. That way the wood is preserved from the wear and tear of life while still being safe to eat on.
